Friends are complicated- whether it's kindergarden and you're giving someone the "silent treatment" because they wouldn't let you borrow your favorite pink crayon, or whether it's middle school and theres some "boy drama" going around. Well, in my life I specialize in the friendships in that awkward space parents like to call "tweendom." It really brings to mind a 12 year old girl drawing hearts in her diary surrounding her name and her crush's. Hm. Yes, well, being 14 is on the cusp of 15 and then the well awaited for 16 (!) is what my parents have dubbed "being a tween"... and being 14 in my life is also my last year of middle school, right on the cusp of the first year of high school. Yup, it's funny how time just sort of creeps up on you like that, and you feel like you're going to fall into a never ending abyss. Yup, good times; middle school. Anyway, rambling. So, friends. Friends are super complicated- to make, to have, to keep. And I have lots of great friends at school, but in this post I am going to namely discuss my friends by the names of E and A. Things have been REALLY awkward lately, I don't even know where to start honestly- I'm just really scared things are going to start to fall apart quickly, and I want to stop it but I don't know how. A is sometimes my old friend again- fantastic, funny, awesome (if a bit nerdy as I am) but some days she is moody and says unecessary things that just hurt your feelings to tell the truth. And then E is the same at times, and there have been some more than minor clashings between the two of them... we haven't been hanging out as much and have not hung out with eachother outside of school... all of our faults I guess, but I really think it would help- for us all to just talk and not blatantly ignore what's going on with us. Well, here are my tips:
1) Talk to them together
2) Hang out outside of school
3) Try to recapture the fun you guys had before all this sh** called eighth grade happened
4) and hope it works...
kisses
